Having been involved in several House of Delegates campaigns in Franklin County where Virgil Goode covertly supported the Republican incumbent, thereby demonstrating his cynical contempt for the loyal Democrats who worked so hard for our candidates, I was not at all surprised by his ultimate betrayal. He may return a few individual contributions, but he will never repay the decades of good faith and big bucks invested in him (and his father before him) by Democrats. And I am absolutely sure that he will keep the thirty pieces of silver.
